  • Condition: Original World War I US Army Painted Helmet. British Brodie Helmet issued to 26th Yankee Division, 101st Engineers. Complete, exceptionally clean condition. Pebbled combat finish, heat stamp FKS5, chin strap, liner. Normal light rust, slightly dry liner (reasonably pliable), slightly dry chin strap with creases, crazing, wear from us. Almost all the painted insignia is intact except for a circle spot on the left side looking at the helmet. It is 104 years old and is in fair to good condition. Please reference the photographs and detailed description.

    I believe the S is an S, though it could be a 5.   It is in condition fair to good condition and 104 years old.
