    Description

Excellent WWI M-1912 Visor Cap w/ Officer Insignia
Up for sale is an original US Army M1912 Service Visor Cap w/ Officer Insignia.  The cap is being sold exactly in the condition that I received it numerous years ago and is a good condition piece given its 100+ years age.
On to the condition details.  The cap features a fully attached and sturdy leather brim and a leather strap.  The strap has a through tear on the left hand side.  The leather sweat band is is fully present and has some loose threading on the right hand side.  The cover retains an excellent shape and color.  The only blemish here are a couple of small nips.  The US Army front emblem is in excellent condition with some patina.  Please see photos for more details.
The cap is named twice, the first to a Platt Adams, but the name is crossed through.  The second to an Estil Palack.  Possible interesting research opportunities here that could unearth an amazing piece of history.
