    WWI Era Guard's Dress Cap Insignia.  This is made exactly like the Army Prison Guard cap insignia 1906-1916, and may have been used by National Guard units, or possibly by civilian state authorities.
    Gilt cast brass, with screw back and thumb screw.
    Fine condition.
