Description

Woods Ware, 1917 Blue Willow, SUGAR BOWL & Hexagon Lid, AS IS, Missing Handle
A great shape to this antique piece by Wood & Sons of England, Backstamp which reads Enoch 1784 and Ralph 1750 dates tis piece to 1917 in the pattern called Willow.
It is a very deep navy blue on off white ironstone.   It is tragic that it lost one of it's handles.   The hexagon shape is stunning as is the outward turned top rim with geometric patterns also along the baseline.   It measures 5" high to the tip of the stunning pointed finial on the lid.   The widest point of the body is about 4.5", not including the handle.
The lid is a hexagon shape with a great pointed finial and is in great shape except for an underside edge chip.    This is a final sale on this piece and I think the lid alone is worth more than my starting auction price.
Net Wt.   11 oz.
