    Description

    Colorful vintage street maps & guides for Jerusalem, the capital of Israel and the Holy City of the three monotheistic faiths (Judaism, Christianity and Islam); Tel Aviv, the largest city in Israel and the economic hub of the Eastern Mediterranean; and Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus in ancient times and a Palestinian town of 25,000 in the present day. Jerusalem maps include one from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism (from 1975, in English and Hebrew), another from circa 1960 (entirely in Hebrew), and a third one that features a pictorial map of Jerusalem on one side and Tel Aviv on the other side (compliments of H. Stern Jewellers, circa 1975, in English). The Bethlehem map is from the Israel Ministry of Tourism (circa 1975, in English).
