    Description

    Classically designed bonbon/sugar tongs that we attribute to H. J. Lias & Son, London 1852.   We were also thrilled to see a journeyman's mark next to the maker's mark (something we don't see every day!)
    The tongs are 5 1/2" long and weigh a very nice 50.3 grams.   Engraved at the end with what we believe is an "MV" - shabby chic at its finest! They look like they after engraving that they have been put away for the last 168 years!
    Based on customer preference, we only lightly polish our silver.
