    This classic gold and gunmetal twist pen is handcrafted from wood salvaged from The battleship USS New Jersey, BB-62. The USS New Jersey is the second of four Iowa class battleships, USS Iowa (BB-61), USS New Jersey (BB-62), USS Missouri (BB-63), and the USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The New Jersey was commissioned in 1943 and saw action in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. She also participated in US operations during the Lebanese Civil War. The New Jersey earned more battle stars for combat action than the other Iowa class battleships and was the only US battleship providing gunfire support during the Vietnam War. The New Jersey was decommissioned in 1991 and is now a museum in Camden, NJ.
