    Description

    This is an original US Army Enlisted Ordnance Campaign Hat Cord.  It is made of wool.  The cord is crimson in color with about half of it with significant sun fading.  Obviously this cord was worn.  Where the crimson remains, the color is almost like new.  In the third photo this cord being offered is next to an unfaded cord from the same period.  This color and style cord was used by Ordnance from 1899-1902.  This cord is very RARE.
    Although this cord is faded, it is otherwise in excellent condition with no snags, fraying, dirt or staining.
