    Description

    This is an original US Army Enlisted Motor Transport Campaign Hat Cord.  It is made of wool.  This is a beautiful example of a VERY RARE cord that was only used from 1918-1920.  This cord was originally a bright purple color which can be seen to the left of the keeper in the first close up photo.  Obviously this cord was worn and that bright purple area was hidden from the sun by being inside the keeper.  The rest of the cord is in various degrees of fading depending on its sun exposure.  This one almost went into my personal collection.
    Although this cord is faded, it is otherwise in excellent condition with no snags, fraying or obvious dirt.
