Description

This is a plastic model that we used for patient education (show and tell).  It is the maxilla without gingiva.  Teeth # 9 - 15 have normal bony architecture and teeth # 2 - 8 have various states of periodontal disease, showing bony defects, calculus, furcations and so on.   The periodontally involved teeth are removable to further inspect the bony defects, and simulate the expected tooth mobility.  Pretty handy model, actually.
