Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs English 1800’s 5 1/2” Long
These sterling sugar tongs were made in England sometime in the 1800’s. I cannot be more specific as the date letter hallmark is missing as is the assay hallmark. We know it is generally from the 1800’s since the sovereign hallmark is present. The maker’s mark is difficult to decipher without the assay hallmark. The ends are in the form of acorns and the design is simple. The weight is 1.27 ozt. See photos.
