Description
Here is a very uncommon whiskey bottle made by Mississippi Glass Co. that was known for making beer bottles and fruit jars mostly. Whiskey bottles was not a main line of production even from their start in 1873. They predominantly made bottles/jars until 1884 when they began to transition to plate glass exclusively. By 1887, they no longer made bottles at all. Anyhow...This is a scarce whiskey in any condition. This example is crude and has a partially open bubble (pictured). Other than that, it is excellent with only moderate stain. Blown in a two part post mold with and very crude finish with tool marks (pictured).
