I bought this in a poster gallery on the West end of Haight Street in San Francisco on my first tour around the country as a sound engineer for a major rock band. A few minutes before that I had bought a glass pipe on the other end of Haight (not my first). We played the Fillmore that trip, and I came back several times, the next time as a tour manager for another band.
I later saw QOTSA twice: First at Voodoo Fest in NOLA right after Katrina. They played everything about 2x faster than the albums. I was on the side of the stage, and all of them seemed to be 8 feet tall and stunningly tough and rippin. The second time, 2007, I was in Missoula, Montana for a day off on another job, and the only thing going on that night was the Queens at a ~1000 capacity theater. In all the 100's of rock shows I've seen, that was the most scared I've ever been at a show. Oversold crowded venue,
summer heat,
lots of different intoxicants,
the band was in a pissy aggro mood, college town, tuff crowd from the mountains & deserts nearby, probably was the highlight of their year. Sick sick sick show.

Provenance:
I was the Music Director for my college radio station in 1993 & 1994. That meant I got to open the mail everyday and had a look at all the oddities and promo items the record companies would spend money on to get us to pay attention to their product and to maybe play it on air. I kept a few of the things that the station had no use for - which meant, in the age of CDs, I kept the interesting vinyl and posters. I was not necessarily interested in the music, I kept the item because it seemed novel or unique - mainly for a colored vinyl, or cool cover, or famous artist.
I didn't own a record player then, so I never played any of the vinyl. When I went home for the semester it was put in my parents' basement in a box, where it stayed until now, because the house is being sold. The basement was dry, clean, non-smoking, and climate controlled.
These records are assured to be mint and unplayed, because I'm the only one who ever touched them - opened the mail at the station, to my room, to the basement, to my place now for shipment.
Item will be securely packed with filler. Mailing out once per week. I will combine shipping for all poster orders in the USA.
