    Description

Here are 3 vintage writing instruments featuring a 1950-60s era Osborne Mechanical Pencil with newspaper advertising for the now out of print Weston Independent Newspaper of Weston, West Virginia. The pencil is roughly 5” in length and is in well preserved shape having only a minor blem of oxidation note to the metal clip. Otherwise the pencil has an unused eraser and advances and retracts the lead nicely. The barrel and lettering are likewise in great shape. Next is a vintage 1940s era Wings Brand Ball Point Pen featuring advertising for White's J. Carson White of Jane Lew West Virginia. The pen has cream colored plastic barrel with advertising, brassy cap with spring loaded clip release. Conditionally, there is some handling wear noted as well as spotty tarnish to the brass, but overall the pen is intact and displays well.
Also included in the lot is a 1970s Era Tucker Almost Heaven West Virginia Ballpoint Pen. The pen is a multi-colored Blue Gold and White and measures 5 1/8” in length. Conditionally, there is minor wear to the lettering and the ink has dried up, but handles a standard replacement filler. It has ease of retraction and overall remain in nice condition.
