    Description

Nice, original grouping from a US Army officer attached to the 18th Quartermaster Battalion during the First World War. Includes the officer's service dress cap, with bronze badge attached, very nice and early cloisonne screwback 18th QM unit crest/DUI, and his original metal name plate. Hat is small, probably no larger than size 7 (55 cm) and has some soiling inside and some wear & mothing to the exterior. Still in good to very good condition for its age, however. Brown leather visor and chin cord. These items came together and I believe were purchased at an estate sale many years ago. They were found recently while unpacking boxes that were in our office.
