SCARCE ORIGINAL WW1 U.S. ARMY M1917 COMBAT HELMET SHELL (NO LINER) WITH CUSTOM WIDE BROWN LEATHER CHINSTRAPS. CHINSTRAP FEATURES A METAL BUCKLE AND ONE STRAP IS MAKER STAMPED "DIGAS". HELMET FEATURES SOME OLD OD PAINT AND HAS ONE DENT TO IT'S EXTERIOR TOP. THERE IS A MAKER STAMP/NUMBERS TO THE INTERIOR RIM OF THE HELMET THAT IS HARD TO READ BECAUSE OF THE PAINT, IT APPEAR TO READS "Z 1 ???". HELMET SHELL SHOWS AVERAGE USE, AGE, SCUFFS AND WEAR.
