Antique 1830s Enoch Wood & Sons Railway Two-color Transferware Plate Red/Green, Earthenware
Early steam locomotive train about to pass under an arch. Surrounding rural landscape features a man and boy watching the train pass by.
Approximately 9.25” diameter
Condition
Good. Moderate wear consistent with age. Toning and crazing (especially on the back). Two small chips along the edge. A few surface imperfections and glaze skips/blips on the center motif. There is a label on the back with “Great Grandmother Davis” handwritten on it. No signs of repairs.
Flaws and cosmetic wear are visible in photos.
