Antique Woods Ware Enoch Woods "English Scenery" China, Blue
. Pre-1960s.
Older Woods Ware Maker's Mark on rear: ENOCH WOOD'S. ENGLISH SCENERY, [WOODS WARE in urn mark], WOOD & SONS, ENGLAND. "Enoch Woods English Scenery" is the pattern name. NOTE: each side of the urn mark appears "ENOCH 1784" and "RALPH 1750" - in spite of these dates this ware does NOT date from the 1700's. This mark dates from 1917 forward. It was revived in the 1960's with additional verbage such as "DETERGENT PROOF", "COLOURS UNDER THE GLAZE", "RESISTANT TO ACID AND ALKALI" etc.

* One Oval Serving Bowl, 9-3/4" Length x 7-1/4" Width x 2" Height. Excellent condition with light use.
* Two Rimmed Round Cereal Bowls, 6-3/8" Width x 1-1/8" Height (2), listed individually -

b. one with a crack, visible on front and rear, but not structurally affecting the bowl
* Six Luncheon Plates (6), 9" Width, one has a repaired crack, three with chips, listed separately -
a. two in excellent condition with light use
b. three with a chip, visible on front, rear, or rim. These are shown in show the photos of the Chipped Plate pull down individually. The piece first shows the Maker's Mark, and # stamp 13, 17 or 18. The photo following that numbered stamp photo is the chip on that individual plate. You may request a specific one by the number of 13, 17 or 18.
c. one with a crack, visible on front and rear, repaired with chip on rim. Shown in photos.
