    Product Description
This fine composite pair of antique George IV English sterling silver cream jug and sugar bowl has an oval rounded form; the cream jug has elements of a helmet shaped form.
The body of each component is encircled with embossed convex ribbed decoration to either side of a band of bright cut engraved ornamentation alternating between a floral, foliate and acorn design and star motif.
The surface of each is further embellished with fine bands of pin struck decorated borders which, to the lower portions, trace the embossed decoration.
The decoration to the lower portion of each incorporates two bright cut engraved bordered vacant oval cartouches.
The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with angular sterling silver handles ornamented with a plain thumbpiece.
Each piece is supported by four fine and impressive Regency style feet.
These fine examples of antique silverware retain the original gilded interior.
The cream jug was made by Burrows Naphthali Hart in 1825 and the sugar bowl was crafted in 1829 by Richard Pierce & George Burrows; they are crafted in the same design as an exact pair.
    Condition
Both pieces of this antique set are a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece are all very clear; due to their location on the surface of the body, the hallmarks show slight signs of wear, but may be considered very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware.
