    Product Description
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver cream jug and bowl have a plain circular rounded form.
The body of each piece has a planished finish and embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'MB' in the Arts and Crafts style; the initials are subtly differing in style.
The upper rim of the sugar bowl and foot of the cream jug are encompassed with applied rope twist decorated borders.
The cream jug is fitted with impressive sterling silver scrolling handle ornamented with a simplified floral motif to the lower terminal.
These impressive pieces were crafted by the notable Arts and Crafts silversmith Hugh Wallis*.
    * Hugh Wallis was a trained and educated artist who developed his skills into metalwork, and becoming an influential figure in the Northern Art Works Guild. Only years before this piece was crafted he still portrayed himself as an artist and employed others to help with the production of his impressive designs in copper, pewter and brass; with only a small amount being crafted in silver.
    Condition
This antique cream jug and bowl are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece are very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware.
