Description
Up for sale is a PCGS SP62 graded 1871 France 5 Francs ESSAI - reeded edge. This coin a test strike and is simply breathtaking. The level of detail present in this specimen is simply unequivocal to anything else I've seen. The devices are crisp and detailed and fields are clean and reflective. There is a bit of a frosty quality to the devices which makes me wonder if a CAMEO designation was in order. I can sit here for hours describing the coin but in this case, pictures really worth a 1,000 words. I would add that it's that much more beautiful in person.Coin Info:
